How to Watch on TV or Phone
You can watch movies and TV shows on your television, Android phone, or iPhone using the Jellyfin app. It works just like Netflix.
On Your TV (Fire Stick or Android TV)
If Bipin has set up a Fire Stick or Android TV stick for you, Jellyfin is already installed and configured. Simply:
- Turn on your TV and switch to the correct HDMI input
- Open the Jellyfin app from the home screen
- Browse Movies or TV Shows
- Select a title and press Play
That's it. No login needed each time — it remembers your account.
On Your Android Phone
First time setup:
1. Open Play Store → search Jellyfin
2. Install the app (it's free)
3. Open it → tap Add Server
4. Enter server address:
https://watch.ahanabipin.in
5. Tap Connect
6. Log in with your username and password
(ask Bipin if you don't have one)
After setup — watching: 1. Open Jellyfin 2. Browse Movies or TV Shows 3. Tap a title → tap Play
On Your iPhone
First time setup:
1. Open App Store → search Jellyfin
2. Install the app (it's free)
3. Open it → tap Add Server
4. Enter server address:
https://watch.ahanabipin.in
5. Tap Connect
6. Log in with your username and password
After setup — watching: Same as Android — open Jellyfin, browse, tap Play.
Playback Tips
Subtitles: Tap the speech bubble icon during playback to turn subtitles on or off, or change the language.
Audio language: Tap the speaker icon during playback to switch between audio tracks (e.g. English, Hindi, Malayalam) if available.
Quality: Jellyfin automatically adjusts video quality based on your internet speed. If the video is buffering, tap the settings icon during playback and lower the quality manually.
Resume watching: If you stop a movie halfway, Jellyfin remembers where you left off. Just tap Play again and it will ask if you want to resume.
Content Not Available?
If you can't find a movie or show in the library, you can request it to be added. See How to Request a Movie.
Common Issues
App says "Unable to connect to server":
- Check that your internet connection is working
- Try opening https://watch.ahanabipin.in in your browser —
if that loads, the app should work too
- If neither works, the home server may be temporarily down —
try again in 10 minutes or contact Bipin
Video keeps buffering: - Move closer to your WiFi router - Lower the playback quality in the settings icon during playback - Try watching on your phone data instead of WiFi if WiFi is slow
