How to Reset a Tripped Breaker

A tripped breaker will be in the middle position (neither fully ON nor fully OFF). To reset:

  1. First switch OFF the breaker completely
  2. Then switch it back ON firmly
  3. If it trips again immediately, do not force it — call the electrician. There may be a fault in that circuit.
